The IESO’s 2018-2020 Business Plan was released on March 22. Key priorities outlined in the plan include the implementation of the IESO’s Long-Term Energy Plan initiatives, enhancing the value of smart meter data, providing leadership in cybersecurity, completing the Conservation First Framework mid-term review, the continuation of the Market Renewal Program, and support of the Green Ontario Fund.
The IESO explains that the plan “positions the IESO to adapt to an evolving environment with rapid technological advancement, increasing consumer engagement, growth in renewable and distributed energy resources, and climate change policies.”
The plan will be submitted to the Ontario Energy Board later in April in support of the IESO’s revenue requirement application. The 2018-2020 Business Plan can be found on the IESO website.
