IESO enhances website

On March 7, the IESO launched its new website, at ieso.ca. The redesigned site is designed to enhance users’ access to electricity market and system information. Visitors to the IESO’s new website can learn about Ontario’s power system, how they can get involved in the electricity market and related programs, as well as provide input to help shape the sector.

Key enhancements to the site include:

• A streamlined user experience – simple page navigation, interactive graphs, and a new document library that allows users to search for any published document

• Information from several predecessor websites, including: Aboriginal Energy, FIT, microFIT, Smart Metering Entity, powerauthority.on.ca.

• Improved navigation and content

• Compatibility with all mobile devices.

Among other things, all of the FIT Program content previously located on the powerauthority.on.ca website is still available in the new site. An instruction document is available for help in accessing the new FIT web pages. Interested parties were invited to email This email address is being protected from spambots.           The launch of the site will not impact access to the IESO Portal or the Reports Site. Organizations that automatically gather or scrape IESO data from the reports site will be able to continue to do so. Anyone scraping www.ieso.ca for data are encouraged to redirect their scraping tools to the Reports Site at http://reports.ieso.ca/public/.
