Ministry launches LTEP consultation

On October 13, the Ontario Ministry of Energy formally announced a public consultation process on the Long Term Energy Plan (LTEP). To support the consultations, the Ministry published four sets of documents:

1. Long Term Energy Plan (LTEP) on the Ministry of Energy website

2. Ontario’s Energy Future (A discussion guide for the consultation process)

3. The “Ontario Planning Outlook,” a series of tables and documents released by the IESO on September 1 as the technical basis for the plan. (See article elsewhere this issue below)

4. The Fuels Technical Report, available on the Ministry website.

Meetings with stakeholders are being scheduled in late October and throughout November across the province. APPrO has established a Working Group focused on the subject and expects to prepare commentary from generators to submit to the process.
