AECOM’s involvement in Canada’s top infrastructure projects

Every year, the industry journal ReNew Canada publishes a list of Canada’s “Top 100 infrastructure projects.” The list for 2016 is available online at http://top100projects.ca. AECOM has significantly contributed to 32 of these top 100 projects in that it holds various roles, such as owner’s engineer, program/construction manager, or similar functions. Examples include the following:

• Keeyask Hydroelectric Project (C$6.5 billion)

• Romaine Hydroelectric Complex (C$6.5 billion)

• Henvey Inlet Wind Project (C$1 billion)

• Interior to Lower Mainland Transmission Line Project (C$725 million, see photo).

          Canadian nuclear projects with which AECOM has been involved in recent years include the following:

• Community engagement, transportation route logistics, and geoscience for the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) in support of its siting process for spent nuclear fuel in Canada.

• Design engineer for the Dry Storage Container (DSC) facility at the Darlington Nuclear Site.

• Participated in numerous environmental assessments in support of CNSC licensing at all nuclear power sites in Ontario.
