The IESO is inviting advice on how to line up energy resources that can provide short-term flexibility. The agency has identified an emerging need to schedule resources capable of responding within a short time frame, in order to manage forecast uncertainty in the real-time energy market. The IESO wants to engage with stakeholders to discuss this need and to explore a range of potential solutions for enhanced flexibility in the electricity system. A draft stakeholder engagement plan has been posted outlining the scope and timelines for the engagement and the areas for which feedback will be sought.
