On July 29, the IESO posted the final materials for its Large Renewable Procurement II (LRP II) Request for Qualifications (RFQ). This posting signals the formal launch of the LRP II procurement process.
Posted materials included the final LRP II RFQ documents and all associated Prescribed Forms. The LRP II RFQ has undergone minor revisions based on the comments received during the draft RFQ period. A blackline of the changes (from draft to final) was also posted, along with a summary of the key feedback themes and the IESO’s responses. These and all other posted materials are available in the Program Resources section of the LRP website at this location.
The Question and Comment Period for the LRP II RFQ began on August 1, 2016, and runs until August 25, 2016. The IESO will respond publicly to questions and comments received through its website by dates specified in the postings.
The RFQ was released in response to April 5 and June 10 directives from the Minister of Energy instructing it to procure up to 980 MW of new renewable generation capacity.
