Toronto: The Board of Directors of the Electricity Distributors Association announced the appointment February 8 of Teresa Sarkesian to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer for the Association, effective March 1.
“Ms. Sarkesian’s appointment signals a new chapter for the EDA and builds on a strong foundation of gains that the Association has achieved for its members in representing the distribution sector in legislative and regulatory arenas for well over a century,” says EDA Board Chair, Raymond Tracey. “With Ms. Sarkesian at the helm, we are moving forward on an exciting future that is underpinned by our long-standing history of excellence, strong leadership and innovation.”
Ms. Sarkesian has extensive knowledge of the complexities and issues facing the electricity system and has successfully cultivated effective relationships with different levels of government, strategic partners and stakeholder agencies during her career.
