Toronto: The Association of Major Power Consumers in Ontario (AMPCO) announced that Adam White will be retiring from his 10-year post as President, taking effect on March 31, 2016.
“AMPCO wishes Adam all the best and we thank him for his efforts and achievements during the past 10 years,” said Mark Passi, AMPCO Chair. “Adam is leaving AMPCO stronger than he found it, with great staff and support in place, a strong board, engaged membership, and a clear mandate to move forward.”
AMPCO continues to advocate for efficient and effective electricity policy to maintain and attract investment and jobs in Ontario. While AMPCO has had much success, the organization said, “[a]dditional work remains to be done to achieve efficient, competitive and fair electricity rates for industry in Ontario.”
Adam will continue in his role through to March 31, 2016 as AMPCO initiates its executive search. AMPCO’s Board of Directors remains committed to working through this process while maintaining services for the benefit of its members.
APPrO President Dave Butters added his congratulations to Adam for a “Great job representing Ontario’s major power consumers over the last 10 years.”
