Darlington rehab moves from definition to execution phase

 

Ontario Power Generation announced on January 11 the refurbishment of nuclear units at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station and the continued operation of the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station until 2024.

          The first of four nuclear units at the Darlington GS will be refurbished beginning later this year. The Pickering Nuclear GS will remain in service until 2022, at which time two units will be retired, with the four remaining units expected to operate until 2024, when the plant will be decommissioned.
