LTEP data available online

The OPA has developed a series of modules to provide a detailed breakdown of the facts and figures underpinning the province’s Long Term Energy Plan (LTEP). The modules were developed in conjunction with a summary of the assumptions used in the development of the LTEP. All six documents are posted with supporting material at powerauthority.on.ca/power-planning/long-term-energy-plan-2013.

The modules are intended to supplement Ontario’s updated Long-Term Energy Plan, Achieving Balance (the 2013 LTEP), which encourages conservation and “lays out a plan for clean, reliable and affordable energy for Ontarians,” the OPA says.

The OPA also plans to launch a new Ontario Energy Reporting web page in the near future. The Ministry of Energy, working together with its agencies, is developing a central website “to provide easier access to electricity system information as well as a number of new reports that will be made available over the next year.” The OPA has invited comment from the industry on the new service.
