Brookfield Renewable rebrands as Evolugen

Brookfield Renewable Canada announced on July 8 that its new name and corporate identity will be Evolugen. Evolugen will remain within the Brookfield Renewable group of companies, and will continue to “focus on providing renewable energy solutions in Canada.”

Across Canada, Evolugen currently manages 33 hydroelectric facilities and 3 wind farms, totalling 1,770MW of capacity. One of the leaders in the clean energy industry, Evolugen positions itself as a company that “delivers sustainable renewable energy solutions, accelerating Canada towards a low-carbon future.” It notes that “Sustainability is core to Evolugen’s activities, which are conducted with the upmost respect towards the environment and engagement with the local communities.” Evolugen is a company of Brookfield Renewable Partners, one of the world’s largest publicly traded, pure-play renewable power platforms.
