Nitassinan, Montréal and Kingsey Falls, Quebec: Hydro-Québec and the Apuiat wind farm project's partners, i.e., Société en commandite Apuiat, formed by participating Innu communities, and Boralex Inc., announced August 22 that discussions had led to the finalization of the negotiations regarding the 200 MW Apuiat wind farm project.
The negotiations resulted in an agreed version of a power purchase agreement. In order to comply with each party's respective governance rules, it was agreed to put on hold the final steps leading to the approval and signature of the power purchase agreement.
After the electoral period, this version of the power purchase agreement would be submitted to the respective boards of directors. The commercial aspects of the contract would not be disclosed.
SEC Apuiat is a limited partnership created by the Innu communities partnering in the Apuiat wind farm project, in order to enable them to invest and participate in the project.
