Washington, D.C.: At major international meetings organized by the World Bank, Canada's Minister of Environment and Climate Change Catherine McKenna met with representatives from countries around the world April 14 and 15 to encourage the adoption of carbon pricing as a strategy to reduce emissions and stimulate investments in green infrastructure and low carbon innovation.
Minister McKenna addressed the high level assembly of the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC), which took place on April 14 and 15 in Washington, D.C. Attendees included World Bank President Jim Yong Kim and United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
