BC Hydro has been named No. 1 Canadian employer by Forbes magazine in its list of the top 250 best employers in the country. Other companies on this list that are involved in the hydropower market include: ABB at No. 3, SaskPower at No. 21, TransCanada at No. 44, Hydro-Quebec at No. 50, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff at No. 89, Kiewit Corporation at No. 133, Aecon Group at No. 141, Manitoba Hydro at No. 152, Siemens at No. 231, and Stantec at No. 246.
Forbes based its awards on data from online statistics provider, Statista. Forbes asked more than 8,000 Canadian workers to determine how likely they were to recommend their employer to someone else and how they felt about the other employers in their industry. The resulting list includes 250 employers that represent 25 major Canadian industries.
