CO2 absorption tech proven effective, inexpensive, company says

Quebec City: CO2 Solutions Inc., a developer of enzyme-enabled carbon capture technology, announced January 26 the verified results of its demonstration project at Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, near Montreal, Québec.

Following a demonstration project in Valleyfield, the company found its proprietary enzyme, 1T1, performed in a stable manner using low-grade heat with no toxic waste products and negligible solvent consumption. The technology produced CO2 suitable for food, beverages and other reuse applications.

CO2 Solutions says its technology lowers the cost barrier to carbon capture, sequestration and utilization, positioning it as a viable CO2 mitigation tool, as well as enabling industry to derive profitable new products from these emissions.
