WiRE Women of Distinction Awards recognize and celebrate professional women working in the Canadian energy sector who go above and beyond business-as-usual, consistently demonstrate outstanding leadership, and have contributed significantly to the expansion and improvement of the power sector. Nominations for this year's WiRE Woman of Distinction Award for Solar are now open. Deadline for submissions is April 8th, 2016.
Nomination Criteria:
The nominee must stand out as a leader who has contributed significantly to the expansion and improvement of the solar field. This may be demonstrated by the nominee through excellence in areas such as:
o Volunteering
o Leadership
o Policy and advocacy
o Technical advancement / Research and development
o Project development
o Community engagement and increased adoption of renewable energy technologies
o Being a role model contributing to the advancement of women in the sector
The nominee must be a woman working in Canada.
