The energy of cities: Power systems as a defining part of urban development

 

The opportunities for development of new power systems in Canada are closely connected with the plans for urban development.  Although much of a city’s supply is produced outside its boundaries and funneled inwards, increasingly cities are looking to ensure more of their supply is generated locally.
